1. Choose 2 vocabulary words and look up their definitions in a dictionary. Find the definition that most closely matches how each word is used in the book. Underline the vocabulary word in each sentence.
2. Why does J.D. think that his brother Tom is a “big-hearted and wonderful brother? If Tom were your brother, would you think he was “big-hearted and wonderful”? Why or why not. Give examples. (paragraph)
3. How does the great brain save the day in chapter 2? How does J.D. feel about this? Why do you think he feels this way? (paragraph)
