* Create a timeline of important story events;

* Write a newspaper article & illustration of an important event in the story;

* Create a 3 dimensional scene in a box (a diorama) of a setting from the story;

* Write a sequel (minimum 2 pages);

* Craft a mobile of the characters from the story, making sure to highlight their traits;

* Write a book report (minimum 2 pages);

* Write a book review for a magazine;

* Write a letter from a character's point of view;

* Write a series of 5 diary entries from a character's point of view;

* Pretend that this book was being made into a movie - make a poster that gives the public a good idea of what this story is about. What actors could play the parts of the main characters?

* Write a song or poem about a character;

* Draw a map of this story's setting using evidence from the book;

* Draw a cartoon strip that highlights the main story events;

* Write a new story ending that could work well with the rest of the story (minimum 2 pages);

* Choose a character in the story that you can most relate to. How are you similar or different? think about both your outside world (ex. how you look, where you live, what your family & friends are like), and inside world (what you think about, what you like, what are your challenges, etc.) (minimum 2 pages).
